Not all Bullitts stay the same. Some get new graphics, some change colour, and some even change names. One of them has been all three – Chuck, Submarine, and finally, Bollocks.
The yellow Bullitt started because… well, because Larry & Harry felt like it. The Clockwork Orange was out there holding court, but they wanted another punch of colour in the line-up. So yellow it was. Internally, they called it Chuck. It was never an official name, just what was used around the workshop. Why Chuck? Because they slapped Chuck Norris on the frame mid-sidekick, straight out of a jeans ad where he proved he could still throw karate kicks without tearing the seams. No, they didn’t have permission. And no, paying homage to your heroes doesn’t make it legal. That graphic disappeared quickly – especially when Chuck himself showed his true colours as a radical right-wing weirdo. Heroes rarely survive close inspection.

But the duality stayed. Larry & Harry have always had that “versus” built in, and they liked playing it out on the bikes. On Chuck you had bananas on one side (the monkey, mankind in its early state), and the Pioneer Plaque on the other (a message fired into space at the height of human ambition). From tree to cosmos, side by side on a cargo bike. That’s the sort of leap that makes them grin.
Later, they warmed up the yellow and gave it new graphics. Chuck became Submarine. Nobody needed the name explained. People just said “Yellow Submarine,” and it stuck. Sometimes the obvious reference is the good one.

And then came Bollocks. New round of graphics, new name, and a nod Larry & Harry couldn’t resist: the Sex Pistols’ Never Mind the Bollocks. Yes, it’s the 70s again. Larry & Harry are fans of that decade – we’ve already told you, right?

Some riders asked if they could have the yellow Bullitt without the graphics. Sorry, no. These bikes roll out with their identity built in. You don’t scrub it off.
The good news? Even more people leaned into it. They wanted a Bullitt Bollocks precisely because of the name. From karate kicks to bananas to punk anthems – that’s the journey this yellow Bullitt has taken. And honestly, Larry & Harry wouldn’t have it any other way.
And if you want the soundtrack, we’ve got you covered. The Bullitt Bollocks Mixtape on Spotify rolls from Pretty Vacant to The Guns of Brixton, with pit stops at Iggy Pop, Blondie, The Jam, The Stranglers, Patti Smith, The Specials, and more. Play it loud, ride it harder – and never mind the neighbours.
