We recently posted two new posters illustrated by our go-to artist, our artist in residence if you will, Kristian Eskild. Kristian is responsible for the artwork on the Bullitt boxes too and has previously done another poster set for us a few years ago, Bullitt Universe. We figured it might be nice to introduce Kristian and his work to a few more eyes and ears in this week's newsletter.

Here is a little biography from Kristian, though short, it highlights his humour and slightly eccentric take on things:

Kristian Eskild Jensen was born in 1972 on a poodle farm outside Holbæk, Denmark. He was not afraid of the dark until he moved into the civilisation at the age of five. As a young man he joined an underground comics studio in 1993 and later studied illustration in Kent, UK. Got back to Denmark in 2000 and worked with illustrating books, magazines, web and animation.

Kristian got to know Larry and Harry through sharing an office space and was seduced into buying a Bullitt. I've been an addict ever since and have now had three of the things. He has drawn on Harry's boxes over the last couple of years, as well as making a series of posters from LvsH ‘s universe.

Kristian won the Danish Ministry of Cultures Illustration Prize this year for the book 'Og De Onde Lo'. The children's book discusses the immoral vs moral choices of a band of animals.

Wow! Not sure what else to say about that!

Kristain's latest poster set has been sent to the printers and will be available in January. Hold tight! The Bullitt Universe posters are still available in our webshop if you don't have them already.

The images below are from Kristian's award winning book 'Og De Onde Lo', which he illustrated and worked on with writer, Ellen Holmboe. It is stunning and well worth a look regardless if you are a child or an adult, Danish or otherwise...

'Og De Onde Lo' or roughly translated, 'And The Evil Laughed' is a book of animal fables and received the Danish Culture Ministry's Illustration Prize in 2017.

So there you have it, what an incredibly talented artist to work with. Thanks Kristian for your incredible interpretations and ideas and for being such a joy to work with.
