Oplossing Design: The Plastic-Free Canopy Challenge
Every now and then we come across a Bullitt project that is too interesting not to share. When mechanical engineer Laura Shumaker reached out to show us her latest project, we knew straight away we wanted to learn more.
A one-off Bullitt canopy concept built from a carefully selected mix of bio-based and non-plastic materials. Part practical family project, part materials exploration, it became a way for Laura to test what these emerging materials can do in the real world.

Bjørn Harvig – Adventurer, Storyteller, Bullitteer
Bjørn Harvig has been out on adventures long before we got to know him. He has a way of turning bike rides into encounters – with this knack for getting into conversations everywhere he goes, and for pulling out stories you’d otherwise never hear. Over the years his Bullitt has become a thread between people and places.
Nicola & Erin: Northbound
The Bullitt has always been a steady companion for dog owners. What we today call the Canopy, first hit the market under the name “The Dog Cage”. Nicola & Erin took back the canopy to its origins, carrying human’s best friend, sharing the road and turning their daily life into an adventure.
This is the story of Nicola & Erin, told in their own words: a guide from Rome and a labrador, who discovered how far two wheels and four paws could take them.

The youngest rider to compete in both Road Race and Track disciplines, in 2018 she and her husband rode up the Swedish coast and over the border to Norway where they traversed the beautiful Norwegian countryside, eventually reaching Stavanger and taking the ferry back to Denmark and home turf.
Matt Blease
Meet Matt, an illustrator from the UK, riding a Bullitt through London. We are really thrilled to have such a talented ambassador for the Bullitt out there, riding and actively engaging and communicating his passion and humour through, what we think are pretty incredible illustrations, that are both striking and intelligent.
