When photography, everyday adventure, and freedom on two wheels come together, you get stories like Maria’s. Based in Flensburg, Germany, Maria captures the simple joys of riding her Moondog eBullitt– on daily errands, spontaneous rides, and slow explorations across borders. Here’s her story, in her own words:

My name is Maria, I am a photographer based in Flensburg, Germany and I love being outside, especially with my Moondog eBullitt. Whether I’m riding through the city, along the Flensburg fjord, or crossing the border to Denmark, my bike gets me just about anywhere I want to go– and more often than not, it’s the best part of the journey.

I use my bike to get to work, run errands, and for everyday trips, but it has also become my way of staying flexible and exploring on the go. Camera gear, swim stuff, food, everything fits in the cargo area, so I never have to think too hard about what to bring. That sense of freedom is what I love most.

Pancake on the Bullitt eBullitt by the Water Close-Up of Flowers

One of my favorite nearby routes takes me along the Danish side of the Flensburg fjord. This time, I rode past wide-open fields, curious (and not-so-curious) cows, and cute little houses nestled by the water. I stopped along the way to take photos, pick flowers and to jump in the water for a quick swim– then rewarded myself with pancakes and coffee. As good as it gets.

I’ve found that cycling and photography go hand in hand for me. Riding around takes me to unexpected places, where I can spontaneously hop off and find beautiful moments to capture. Days like that always remind me why I love my Bullitt so much: it gets me out of my routine, without much planning, I just hop on, start pedaling, and see where the day takes me.

Thank you, Maria, for sharing your words, photos, and spirit with us.
