Exactly a year ago, we were contacted by the legendary Italian bikeproducer Cinelli. Although we come from two different parts of the industry, we still share a lot of common ideas when it comes to bicycles. They were very keen on making a cargobike collaboration, and they wanted to do it together with the company who has the best produced cargobike on the market, (you know who, right).
We of course were thrilled and honored by this offer, so we started working on a Bullitt, spiced up with the Cinelli coolness. The result is a unique looking Bullitt - The Bullitt Vigorelli is born.

After registrating their interest, buyers for the very limited number of bikes were drawn at random in October 2023, and the Bullitt Vigorellis will land on their owners' doorsteps in the beginning of the new year.

We shouldn't need to wax lyrical about the heritage that Cinelli have within cycling. Their iconic logo has adorned components since the early days of professional cycle sport and their contribution to the resurgence of fixed gear culture back in the early 2000's with both the Vigorelli frames and the partnership with MASH in San Francisco has had enormous impact. These heady, carefree days were the boom in urban cycling for many and in a strange, yet wonderful twist of fate, the time when we were prototyping a certain Bullitt cargo bike.

Heritage and legacy are words easily thrown around, but as a manufacturer your products need to be long lasting and durable for them to leave an impact and we are proud of the positive impact the Bullitt has had for many, in the same way Cinelli parts have been made to stand the test of time. This is why the Bullitt Vigorelli collaboration resonates beyond a beautiful paint job and logos for us.

We are enormously proud of the result. As a little extra special deal clincher we also managed to secure the very limited silver edition of Shimano's GRX groupset and we love how it compliments and does justice to the framekit.

The Bullitt Vigorelli is produced in a limited number of 25 complete bikes and 25 frame kits.

Read on to hear Cinelli's take on this collaborative process.

“Ever since messengers started preferring track bikes in an overwhelming way in the early 2000s we have been working directly together with them, sponsoring their world championships with our caps, designing bikes together, commissioning their artworks and basically creating really long-lasting and continuously inspiring friendships. But a few years ago we began to notice a new trend: whilst they continued to ride our track bikes TO work, AT work they were riding very a different kind of bike: cargo bikes. We love cargo bikes, we love riding them, we love what they represent and what they can do but at the same time we wanted to continue to have messengers ride Cinellis. So we went to Larry vs Harry who make the world’s best heavy-duty cargo bike, the Bullitt, and asked if they’d be interested in making a Bullitt-Vigorelli. Luckily the answer was yes.”

Harry has his take on how this partnership developed too and makes the point from a pragmatic perspective of material choice.

"The idea of a collaboration between Cinelli and Larry vs Harry, came up exactly a year ago. Though coming from two different angles of the bike business and with a very different age of the companies, we still had a lot in common. We both have a fan base of messengers, who in Cinelli and in us, have found reliable and sturdy bikes made for the professionals. Also we share the dedication to aluminum, a strong, still light metal, well suited for fast and durable bikes. So when we wanted to do something together, the natural choice was to combine the classic Vigorelli track bike with the Bullitt cargobike. One year later we are proud to introduce the Bullitt Vigorelli.”
